Well, I feel like such an ass for admitting this....but Monday was his birthday and I talked to him earlier in the day. He made an excuse to call me later that night and to make a long story short...me and my friend (who is also his niece) went and met him for drinks at a bar by my house for his bday.....He asked us to come back to his house (my old house), and we did.... Well, we ended up going upstairs alone and yes.... I caved! I did it.... It was so nice, but now what the hell am I doing.. He admitted to me that he still loves me. I can NOT and will NOT go back to him. I finally left him 3 weeks ago, got my own place, bought a car, etc...I am trying to get my life back on track. He is losing the house I guess. I feel bad for him... but it's too late for us to be together again.

WHY DID I DO IT?

I have never done that but have come close a couple of times. It is hard. A few drinks, no one is arguing, even some laughter and all the bad stuff fades. Don't beat yourself up for it. And hopefully he won't read more into it than a one-night-stand. My ex is/has been reading much too much into every nice thing I do.

From my expeareance this kinda thing can end up going on for a long time , untill one of you put a stop to it. It's gonna mess you up every single time. Try to sty strong you'll be proud of yourself in the short and in the long run.

You did it cus u were horny! We all cave in some form or fashion. Yours was simply giving him some. Now you already established you have no desire to return to that life, so why question why?!? It was just a one night stand.

RMS, in a perfect world your questions would be valid. It's so easy to do what she did, what so many of us have done. You can't expect to spend so much of your life and energy with a person and have a moment (or two or three) and not have some sort of emotion to resurface; it's what you know, it's whats familiar to you.

Jen, if it makes you feel better I've done it several times. I was the one who initiated it. We probably did it more after we were separated than we did in the whole marriage. It was better too. Don't be so down on yourself it's normal.

Don't beat yourself up over this.....just learn from it. And if you can't be alone with out temptation making you cave, then don't put yourself in situations like that. I know, easier said than done..... I know it happens.
