Heave..have fun! Hope everything turns out totally awesome!
All you can eat places is a bad idea, because you would both be nervous, eat too much and you're a glutton, too little and you didn't approve of the place selected.
Order something uncomplicated and not too messy ... cracking crabs is probably not a good first date choice ... ;)
..hmmm a flower ... I'd steer the conversation to flowers and find out what she REALLY likes, that way there are no "pre-concieved notions".
You are a well-balanced and well-spoken man. Just don't try to push things or move to fast and I'd wager that you will have a very good experience!
Best of luck!
ps Christye, OMG, THAT made me snort soda all over my keyboard ... LMAO!
If she suggested cooking at her place and you're comfortable with that, then go for it. Might be fun and give you something to do to take the edge off the nerves.
As far as the flower, I would go with a carnation, wild flowers, etc. Roses send too powerful a statement and I don't think you want that right now.
Just be yourself and I'm sure she'll see what a great guy you are.
Peace and hugs.
First the girl at the grocery store, now this? Dude! Aren't you the man! I say just relax and see where it goes! You'll be fine! It'll be like a little adventure!
Let us know how it goes!
Take care and good luck!
8-)
That was an awkward situation. I told her that marriage vowels are a serious matter and that probably was not something that the manager shouldn't have said. She said that she thought that it was funny and she would never do that. Why in the heck did she tell me about this. That was awkward!
Anyway...Still wierd how things like that work. I have been emailing for a few weeks with this girl and I really like what I am hearing. Seriously, it has been 2 or more emails a day for the last few weeks, maybe more like three weeks. We have also talked on the phone a few times, 4-5 times. It is cool because she actually called me one night and I wasn't there so she left a message for me. I think that she is intersted by her actions.
Cross your fingers. As I said...I don't want to get my hopes up but it is hard not to!
IMHO, you've done something WAY right if she's suggested cooking together already!
Congrats! And like everyone else has said, you're both going to be nervous, just go with it and let it evolve organically.
