Only thing I can offer: She's just as afraid of meeting you as you are of her. Be yourself. Relax. Try not to make everything perfect. Just breathe and have a good time. It will fall into place. Good luck man!
Second, I get that way around any woman that I'm interested in, I could twist tie my tongue into a pretzel and knock over any breakable thing in sight.
Third, you already said it, stay clam, be yourself, and have a good time!
Seriously, those feelings are so wonderfully normal and it shows that you are willing and alive and please do not let your walls come too high up. She is nervous also.
I think a friend of mine is going to arrange a meeting with a fellow she knows. I'm feeling nervous and I will probably become very shy and quiet.
Good luck! Be happy and sieze the moment!
Don't forget the pepper spray.
mmmm otherwise? do all the old school stuff. ask her lots of appropriate questions. tell her she looks great, better than her pics. just listen to her...
you'll be fine ;)
If the night goes according to plan you won't need either, but it's best to be prepared for both extremes.

on a first date w/ someone... anyway the story is history but the date was a dream... anyway, he had a rose for me but he did not give it to me until the end. it *totally* worked.
if you are picking her up bring her some casual flowers for her house. but don't bring a flower into a restaurant, there is no good place to put it.
but at the end of the date, if it works out smoothly, and feels just right, then yes. rose.
a red rose = too strong...
