I have been posting about how my stbx and I are simply not working out as friends. I have not been able to get over the fact she is sleeping with another guy already, and that she lies to me non-stop now.
Well today she emails me and tells me that she overpaid me on 1/2 of our taxes (I got 1/2), and that she needs $300 back immidietely to cover the house check or its going to bounce.
Well, I dont have a lot of pity for her. I told her that its her problem. Plus how am I supposed to believe she actually got underpaid by the government? She lies about everything. Not to mention she just went out and spent over $300 in new clothes and suitcases for her trip with her boyfriend. (Work related).
Of course on the other side is the fact that my kids do live in that house, and I dont want them to lose their home. Also she does support me ($50 stinking a week). So pissing her off probably isnt a good idea.
I just wish I wasnt hurting so bad right now so I could make clearer choices. I dont want to do anything that later on I will regret.

No, it is not your fault she spent her money unwisely. However, if you lived in the house all year, and your name is on the mortgage, you are probably going to have to deal with it.
Have you talked to a lawyer about this?
Like someone said above, I AM bitter and ANGRY right now. But I dont want to wake up a week from now and have someone serving me at my door with paperwork saying she is trying to take custody away from me.
I have no means to fight her and win, so its best not to rock the boat too much.
I think I got my point across to her, whatever the point was (lol).
Its just another example of how big a nightmare all of this is.
