I have been posting about how my stbx and I are simply not working out as friends. I have not been able to get over the fact she is sleeping with another guy already, and that she lies to me non-stop now.
Well today she emails me and tells me that she overpaid me on 1/2 of our taxes (I got 1/2), and that she needs $300 back immidietely to cover the house check or its going to bounce.
Well, I dont have a lot of pity for her. I told her that its her problem. Plus how am I supposed to believe she actually got underpaid by the government? She lies about everything. Not to mention she just went out and spent over $300 in new clothes and suitcases for her trip with her boyfriend. (Work related).
Of course on the other side is the fact that my kids do live in that house, and I dont want them to lose their home. Also she does support me ($50 stinking a week). So pissing her off probably isnt a good idea.
I just wish I wasnt hurting so bad right now so I could make clearer choices. I dont want to do anything that later on I will regret.

Just don't do anything in haste that you may regret later on.
Thats not the issue. The issue is she expects me to just TRUST her that she was underpaid. Um yeah right.
Tell her to go borrow the money somewhere else. If she hadn't spent money frivolously it might be different. She made her bed . . .
She emailed me that sarcasm wasnt going to get us anywhere and that he has nothing to do with this.
To which I replied: "It has everything to do with this! If I could trust you, I would just give you the money and we would all get along. The bottom line is you lie to me about everything now, and I cant believe anything you say. You chose this path, you have to live with the consequences."
Perhaps that is what she is counting on...?

I think that when you become financially dependent on someone, you lose your freedom of choice. You have to suck up all the shit that is dealt to you. I can say this, because I was financially dependent on my ex for the first year of our marriage. I only got to make my own choices honestly when I had my own income and was able to survive without her help.
From what you have said here, it sounds like she is doing just fine. I think it is time you put your energy looking after yourself.
Im calling the bank at 9am when they open and telling them to put a note on my account that she is NOT to touch have access to my account.
The thing is why should I even have to pay 1/2 the property taxes? I know its for 2007, and I did live there all year; but she lives there now, and its her problem isnt it?
Im probably going to just transfer the money. She is such a selfish bitch now that if I push her too hard she will take my kids from me just to screw me up. She is that selfish.
