Ugh! I am supposed to hear from Geico sometime this week about the job, if I got it or not. I think that I have an excellent chance of getting it but the longer I go without hearing from them the more I get worried. They said that they would contact me by Friday at the latest and it is now Thursday. I really hope that I get this job. I have a few applicantions out to other places but no word from them at all. I hate the waiting game and it is making me incredibly anxious.

Tomorrow I have to go in and resign from the P.D. My two weeks of sick leave is almost up and I hoped to have known something about a job by now.

I am really starting to get worried. I really don't want to fall back into Police Work but I might end up doing that if something doesn't come up soon.

My Dad is driving me bloody nuts. He is so damn negative and he has said a few things that really get my anxiety pumped up. He has said "This is a really bad time to be looking for a job." --No SHIT!! It isn't by my choice that I am doing this!

He has also said "Maybe they won't call you."

ARGH!!!!!! I finally told him that he isn't helping the matter and I need people around me to stay positive. I am getting testy when he starts talking like that because I am trying not to worry about it but it is starting to play on my nerves.

Why can't I just get hired so I can calm the heck down and not hear any more crap from my Dad?

I hope you get the job. Look at the brite side, at least you still have a job when there's so many people with out work.

I am going to resign before anything happens. I have a HUGE bullseye on my back right now and they are gunning for me. It has been amazing that I have stuck around this long because I have had this bullseye for years. I am sick and tired of going out onto the street and trying to do the right thing and doing my job and then being questioned, second guessed, and nit-picked for everything I do. Right now they are trying to stick me for a violation of a policy that I didn't violate and I should know....I wrote the damn policy. This is friggin' amazing.

I am not going to sit around and let them have their way with me. I am actively looking for a job and I am getting out of dodge before they try to force me to resign or they try to fire me.

But will it affect your pension? Do you have a pension? Why not fight it if you feel you have a valid case?

They call you faster when they don't want you. I know it doesn't make it much easier, but it's almost always true.

Thank you so much Patti for that responce. It truely calmed me down a little and you have a very valid point.

Road...Even if I win I still have to work under the same people that started this stuff so they will try something else down the road. Trust me, I have watched this happen time and time again. I am THE MOST SENIOR officer in patrol right now with 7 years because the average stay of an officer is 3 years. Yep, 3 years. They wonder why they have this HUGE turn around and it is because of the way they treat people.

The police force is so much like the military...when your superiors or even your platoon mates have it out for you it's a hard thing to deal with. I had to put ends to that a few times while my unit was overseas.
