Hey guys, I am new to this group and Im looking for some support. I recently went through a break up and it hurts very bad. I dated my boyfriend for a year and a half and we were inseperable and i loved him the entire time. Its been rough since november, we took two breaks upon his request and then recently my friend texted me and told me he liked a different girl. I texted him and he confirmed, he even told her we were already done when e were just on our break. He feels no remorse over this break up and he asked this new girl to prom. He does not know if he wants to remain friends and we went from dating to him with a new girl (although he says they arent dating...) and me destroyed in one day. I am a mess, we did everything togethr and i texted him all day, he was every thought and i am so tired of hurting. I am a recovering self harmer, i am a year clean and at the end of our relationship he told me that he felt trapped in the relationship because he thought i would do something if he left me. Its a slap in the face so even though i have had urges, i do not want to let him be right. My friends and i are close but i do not see them enough, same with my family. I am tired of hurting, i want to recover and move on just like he did. I have always known that my heart is too big and its biting me in the ass this time. I need some recommendations on how to cope, how to move on. I desperately need some help. Please respond!

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

I’m so glad that you are not hurting yourself; you are worth loving and you need to know that you are worth it!
Have you thought about joining a young person’s group at church? I found that being involved with a singles group was a lot of fun. The people respected one another, and it was a safe place to just relax and encourage one another. They were also good at helping me to get past the pain. I pray that you start to feel better.
This is all recent and am only 22
So I had been dating a girl for 4 years, all through college, we basically lived together as we stayed together literally 24/7. Well when we graduated things started to go down hill, she wouldn’t talk to me as much (lived in different cities) we would see each other every other week, but somehow no matter what it just didn’t seem to help at all. I had taken her brother and sister to my families place at the beach and then even helped her when she was ready for her first big job. Come to find out in August she met someone new and even told me she wanted to get to know the guy better, “as friends” but as you can guess it turned into a full emotional relationship. She had no guilt about it because after I gave her another chance it happened not 3 months later. She felt no guilt or remorse, and I’m here wondering how she could have treated me so badly or why she just doesn’t care, I haven’t talked to her in two months and although she claimed she loved me and cared, if you did you would reach out, which she hasn’t.
Sometimes, some people are just terrible people, they always want more and are never happy with the person who would do anything for them, I may have ended my relationship but I still felt committed to her and loved her even today, you can’t change how people act or who they are, and although it hurts the best thing you can do is what’s best for you.
Do you want to be with someone that is easily pulled to another woman?
Do you want to be with someone that can fall out of love that quickly?
There are a lot of good people out there that would never do this to another person, unfortunately most of us have gotten one of the bad ones. Now you know what you want in a person, what makes a good guy, surround yourself with friends, and hell I don’t know how old you are but get on tinder and talk to some guys (I don’t mean date, talking to nice guys will help you get past the fact that he was like that) I’ve met some really nice people on tinder that I’m not dating but are good friends now.
You have to use what happened to you as a light, someone is giving you a chance to really find happiness with the right person, you will find a guy that you do everything with and at the same time would never betray or go behind your back, the first month is hard, but it is doable. Best of luck, if you want to talk you can always message me
When we want to believe something it's so easy to fool ourselves. Suddenly all those hours every day that you used to spend thinking of your "love" are now spent in misery and loneliness.
Don't bother trying to talk to someone, they don't care. When you try to tell them and realize nobody cares the depression gets even worse.
It happened to me and I still feel like such a fool. We work together and it's as if it never happened. I suspect she has found someone else, but I'm not going to try to pry as that will not help me.
Animals don't understand people but you can hug them and love on them and when you see how much it makes the animal feel good it may help you feel good.
You also have to try to stop thinking about it. I am so tired of crying every time I am alone. I wonder what people think when they see me driving and crying.
I often wonder if this is what mass murderers and suicidal people are thinking when they lose their minds. An empty and hollow soul can be very dangerous. An unloved person or even if they just think they are unloved can make us do (or not do) unbelievably cold and cruel things.
All we can do is try to feel better and not do anything for revenge or anything irreversible. Also avoid happy couples, etc.
