Have him arrested for threatening you (he's a crackhead - it's in the realm of possibility) until it goes to court he'll be restricted from going near you or the house. Essentially, he'll be evicted.

I have tried to sell. I owe $320,000.00 now worth about $180,000.00!! My daughter lived with her Dad who was addicted to booze for most of her life. She knows how to separate the person from the sickness. If I thought for a second she was in danger, we would go with the clothes on our back. When he is right he is actually very good to her. His "usage" is overnight and out of her sight and out of our home! She is 16 and very bright and knows we will win and come out alright. I hate that she has to go through this but she doesn't want to go to grandma's or anywhere else she has been offered. She is a fighter like her Mom!! Tough chick but a loving caring girl. She feels sorry for his kids (8 and 9). As do I but I have to put me and mine first! I have thousands of dollars of belongings that I need to sell to help us get back on our feet and start over. I have hot tub and other things on Craigs list. I just don't know how to physically move until I can get some resources together to do so! Even if and when I have money, how do we make our get away without violence or him following. He is not gonna just wave bye!!!

I did some checking on Florida eviction law and it looks like you can do a 3 day notice. That would get his ass out of there quickly.

Jaken I hear you loud and clear. I don't make light of any of this my daughter is my number one concern! We talk often about how she feels what she wants and my plan to get us out of this mess. He does not act out in front of her or bring drugs into the home. He just steals money from behind my back and takes off when we are all asleep to lead his other life. She has already had to grow up fast because of my divorce and what her father put us through. She has had counceling and has a wonderful support group and me! I know my choices have messed up my kids and I am guilt ridden but I had no idea. My son is 20 and on full scholarship playing football and getting his education. My daughter is doing well in school and is a happy healthy young lady. I would give anything to change the things my choices in partners have caused them to go through but I have always, always put them first! I didn't know about this guy. He is smart and slick!! He had her fooled too and continues to be good to her. (He just steals our money when we are not looking!!) She wants to stay with me no matter what and doesn't want to run with just what we can carry! She has her heals dug in and wants to work along side me to get back on track. I am very blessed with wonderful kids and I am a damn good Mom even though I suck at picking men! I promise I am not just trying to make excuses or put money ahead of my kids!! Bella, 3 days??? Really?? The cops told me 30! Ok let's say I do that. He has no where to go (trust me I don't care) but I am afraid a piece of paper won't keep him away. He is not violent now I am afraid to provoke him. With no where to take his kids will Child Protective Services take them? He would for sure come after me if they did??? Not making excuses. I want him out... just have to go about it the right and safest way. Wish I could find him a chick dumber than me to take him in (guess she would not have to be dumber but just as dumb!). I wouldn't wish him on anyone else. I just wish I would have listened to Z she told me he was too good to be true! I appreciate all of your advise and I am listening!!

Have you talked to the Womens' shelters or abuse advocates in your area? They may have some suggestions for you.

Call the cops, last time I checked possession of crack wasn't legal. Get him physically removed from the home, child protective services will take the children from him and you can then concentrate on getting rid of your stuff.

Is there anything there that a collector/antique dealer may want? they will come get it and give you something for it so that you then have money to move your stuff.

I haven't contacted the shelter's but that is a good idea! I will call tomorrow and see what advise they can give me.
God how I wish he would just man up and move on. We don't talk or even look at each other. It is a strange way to live.
His poor kids have been through so much in their lives they just go on like everything is fine. Their main concern is little league baseball and playing. They know he does drugs! They told me! They tell me just don't let him have any money Mom! If he hauls butt before they are asleep. They just kiss me goodnight and go to bed. I start looking for my teller card and pawnable items. If all are in tact I just lock the doors and go to bed myself but he always finds his way in. He is a resourceful addict guess lock picking is one of his skills! My heart breaks for them! The little one said when you guys break up can I stay with you?? These kids are sooo messed up and so young they need to be taken aways from him. I just can't be the cause of it so his anger is with me or mine. His Mom said if they get taken away she will take them but only if He is stripped of his rights. She is waiting for him to get arrested so she doesn't have to fight him. Where are the cops when he is out buying and smoking drugs all night?? I get caught running a stop sign!!

Thanks Jaken!! I needed you to know I would give up anything to keep them safe. I have been very blessed her whole life. I have made a good living and she has lived in nice places, had nice things. I have kept the man issues as far away as possible. She and I are best friends and I know her very well. I am trying not to add to her stress by moving on broke to a shelter or something. She would freak!!! I want to try my best to keep her world as normal as possible, same school, same friends, same clean (although much smaller and less expensive) type of home. Maybe I am dreaming but my kid would die in a shelter. I know the princess. Not making jokes I am for real. That would be worse on her than what we are dealing with here!
