Living in my home (which I am about to loose to forclosure) with my daughter and a man (who turned out to be a crackhead) and his two sons. I had no idea when I invited him into our lives over a year ago. He is smart and won't leave (has no where to go and no job). Doesn't want to leave his meal ticket! Police say I have to have him evicted but that will take at least 30 days and I have to move anyway. I had some money put up, then lost my job and had to have surgery. While I was down, he took all of my money!! I have tons of furniture and stuff to move and no money or anyone to help move it. He is making life a living hell for me cause he knows I want out. I just got a job today (God is good!) step one: get a job, check!!! I tried to make him believe we had a chance so he would help me have a yard sale to make some money to move and get things ready to go. He is too smart and not buying it! I need an escape plan once I can save up the money to get me and my daughter out of this mess. Crackheads can be mean and he is gonna make it ugly!! He won't cross the line and lay his hands on me cause then he knows I can get him removed. Any suggestions? Help I need a plan!!! Damn I know how to pick 'em!!!
I don't know how it is where you are, but the shelters here are short term places. And they are very kind to kids. Once you are in the shelter, they help you find a place.
I would try to get him out first. I'm guessing he doesn't think he has a problem, or can control the problem..
If he's stealing from you, cant you have him arrested for that? I know it's a scary thing to have someone arrested, but you should not be afraid in your own home. Or worry about when you wake up and everything will be gone.

Start documenting everything - each day. What you spend, what he spends (or doesn't) Write down when he comes and goes and when he does the drugs.. write everything you can. It's going to take a bit of time to get him out, but you have to start by giving him a written notice. Look at this site
