BUT if I had this room would not be the place to call me out with "Got the Guts" to work through it. I would do it with a professional PhD, or a counselor in a professional environment. I take this subject very seriously and have the utmost respect to anyone who knows someone who had this happen or a family / friend that has had to go through this trama...

This is a subject that a person needs respect, trust, support and a professional can guide them in the right direction to HEAL, and come out of it as the Person they use to be.

Loves2Fly, that was well put, if one wanted to open up and share by starting their own thread or journaling it fine. Better yet I am sure there must be amarital rape or rape community were it can be discussed.

I have been raped not in my marriage, but if I wanted to talk about it like loves2fly said it would be to a therapist or in a rape support group.

All I can say it there is two sides to every story and that all I am going to say.

I am a domestic abuse- marital rape survivor. This is the first time I ever described myself as survivor. Marital rape & molestation has been so confusing to cope with, heal from, and survive. I just left the abusive marriage not so long ago. I am devestated that I married a molestor and rapist. I feel like no one really believes me and the pressure my ex put on me to be availble was so intense that I still feel like I want to die. I was scared to say no. And at times I was attracted to him and I wanted to be in a healthy marriage , with him! I chose to marry my abuser. And now I am suffering from nightmares, loneliness, and crazy ptsd.
