I was supposed to hear from a new lawyer last night at 6pm for a phone consultation to see if and what my divorce case would / should do but she never called. Should I give her a second chance and call her today or just look for a new one?

That used to irritate the hell out of me in the early stages of my divorce. It took me a while to realize I wasn't the only client my attorney had and sometimes they just can't get back to you right away.

I would give her another chance and give her a call. She could have been busy with another case or tied up in court.

After that, if you don't hear anything, move on.

Yep, I was very impatient too at first.

Then I realized that between my lawyer and hers, things were not going to move as fast as I wanted.

Sucks, but seems to be the norm.
