I was driving around last night at 2 am and I was minding my own business. Hell, it was too cold to get out of the car and I didn't plan on doing something. This old beat up car drives by and a headlight is out. I figured that I would go ahead and stop it...it was really cold but I was REALLY bored because nothing else was moving.
Stopped the car. The driver didn't have a license. He tells me that he is suspended, habitual offender! He tells me that he has one prior conviction. I run his stuff and he is not lying so I arrest him. I SPECIFICALLY ask him..."Is there anything in the car that I need to know about? Anything that will hurt me or stick me?" He says no.
Underneath the driver's seat I see a spoon with white residue on it. RED FLAG!! That means only one thing, heroin. I see a small canvass bag and I open it. Yep, you guessed it, two needles, rubber turnicates, and another spoon with residue.
I go back to the car and read the guy his rights. I ask him about the stuff in the car. He says "Ah Crap, I forgot that I had that in there, it is my works kit. I used it this morning to shoot heroin."
I really hate finding that stuff in a car. It really makes me nervous when I am searching the rest of the car because it is really going to ruin my day if I get stuck with someone's needle.
I also find a crack stem in the works kit. I end up with Three Felony Warrants for a car that had a headlight out. Just for good measure, I also charged him for not wearing his seatbelt (got to get the seatbelt ticket) and the broken windshield.

They will also use metal for this. That is why it is not uncommon to see crackheads with burn marks on their lips of their front teeth have been burnt out from smoking too much crack cocaine.
None of my friends have been stuck. At least most of these jerks who shoot up put caps on their needles. Still scary when you find a needle because I have heard the horror stories.
Thank God that heroin is not as common as other drugs.
Cocaine is cut so much before people get it and it has all kinds of junk put into it.
I always like telling the teenagers that I catch smoking pot that they are smoking something that was probably smuggled into the country up someone's ass. I tell them that they are, in fact, smoking someone's ass. That usually get a few funny looks from them.
I always wondered how they figured it out..
"hey man... if we crushed them there seeds and then add this battery acid and then mix in urine... I bet it would be cool to smoke it...!!"
just doesn't make sence.
I told the Commonwealth that the next time I have a case with that attorney we should just try it and make sure it is called before she gets there if she is running late. If that happens then the Commonwealth needs to ask for a Show Cause for the attorney and continue the case.
If we don't show up on time it is a show cause. The attornies can come and go as they please. It is so irritating.
