it’s the calm before the storm ... and even though it’s calm today and things are ok I know that everything will be different in two weeks ... my husband is leaving for a 2 year assignment in Europe and I don’t know if we will be together or split up when he goes ... and either way I will be living alone and trying to live life without him there by my side. I’m just having a rough morning ... I’m emotional ... I laid with him this morning and started crying ... I just wish I could know that everything is going to be ok... I feel so weak and my chest hurts and I just want this to stop

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
I don't know your circumstances but, if you need someone to listen or just to chat with, I am here. I've been here on DS over 10 yrs. Don't let my username scare or intimidate you. I am an ex-biker but, left that lifestyle years ago.
Have you thought of some things you can do for those two years? Hobbies or meetup groups or work or volunteering.... etc.
You will be okay. Hugs.
Sorry for your pain, Much support in this time of transition, You know it is funny I had a friend whose hubby had a similar situation and she was like Oh hell yes!!!!, She felt that it would bring a sense of intrigue and that they would grow because of it and when they would plan time to see one another that it was like the passion that they had at the beginning of their relationship, She said it actually Grew their relationship, And also I had a co-worker years back whose husband lived, Yes lived in another state, She was so calm and said she loved it, She said that when he would come into town that it was so much planning and of course my facial expression was like wt#!. but I could tell that she was so relaxed and loved it, So I have often heard that the Key to life is adaptability, The easier you accept and make it on yourself you speed up the transition process and can refocus past that to planning scheduled trips to be together, face timing skype sessions- These days 2 years goes by quick,The 2 years can also be special time for yourself where you can spoil yourself and accomplish different things uninterrupted, So much can be accomplished in that time- I feel that you will be fine, Warm Hugs !!!!!!!!!!!!! Light Peace surround you
