Southern and I have decided to host a meetup in New Orleans over the long weekend for President's Day in Feb.. We would love to have you all join us. We are checking on the best rates. We will have a balcony room on Burbon Street and lots of beads!! This is the week before Mardi Gras so it will not be so crowded but still tons of fun!! Please mark your calenders and plan to join us!! We will be in touch as we get details so we can make reservations early! We can't wait!! Im not gonna make it folks. Cant get the time off work (just returned after 7 months off so really cant complain). I would love to be there, and have always wanted to visit New Orleans... Im sad

Airfares are expensive b/c it's a holiday weekend, and even though it is not Mardi Gras weekend, it is still Mardi Gras season, it will still be crowded, and expensive. I agree that another weekend might be less expensive. My 2cts.

OMG. My parents want me to visit them in Arkansas soon, I wonder if I could possibly arrange to do this? I have always wanted to go to New Orleans. OK I can't even think about this now because I probably can't but I want to SO MUCH!!!!!

I would be there in a heartbeat except my trial is set for 2 weeks after this and I swore I wouldn't drink until my divorce was final. Oh well.

NWWW ORLUNS. Working on that southern drawl. Doubt I can swing that. Why not Detroit? We could bring bullet proof vests, Newports, and I'll provide the venue. We'll have a trash can with a bonfire on Rosa Parks behind the Mobil Gas with bullet proof glass. I'll be serving Malt liquor and Ramen Noodles, any takers?
