My STBX just left the doctor & is being treated for BI-Polar. She has gotten me into the angry pissed off stage. Im almost ready to say the heck with it & agree to the divorce. If she is Bi-Polar and the treatment gets her straignted out, will she want to try to work our marriage once shes level headed & see's that she has made a mistake by throwing me to the curb. Advice please. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If the meds work then thing should be great. However some of the meds they give out make things worse!! Your her old man! Please try and help her!!

Well, you married her. If you want to be a husband, this falls under the "sickness and health" clause, I'd imagine. If she's in treatment and does want to stay together, then I would say at least go to counseling with her, even if you're living apart so you can have some space. If she doesn't recognize that her condition may be responsible for some of your marriage's problems, however, and doesn't want to work on it... you might want to try a separation for a while, if you haven't already.

It is a rough road. Bipolar is tough even on meds. And they are often hard to convince that they need to keep taking their meds. I would be quiet and patient and wait it out. Work on making you secure and you will know if the time is right to go back or go forward.

That is a tough one. Bipolar isn't easy to deal with. Mental health issues in general aren't easy to deal with due to high levels of noncompliance with medication. When someone with psych issues is feeling well, they generally stop taking meds b/c they feel fine and think they don't need them anymore. I think that the bipolar would just exacerbate the issues b/w you guys. You both would need therapy to help you deal with the disease process itself, let alone how flare-ups will affect your relationship.

I think my husband is bi polar and he says there is nothing wrong with him!!! If he wanted to work on the marriage, I would agree because I still love the bastard even after everything he has done to me

I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
