I was very popular with the younger girls back then. Not that I took advantage of it or anything. ;)

Also had a Samantha Fox poster in the 80's that was...um....memorable.
I said that to my nephew and he had no idea what I meant. *sigh*
But she was...um.....top heavy.
Many of the people that lived around me did not have elec. or indoor water or hot water.
My daddy loved westerns so our days consisted of Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel , Bat Masterson, Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, Rawhide, and The Virginian. So many others but I have managed to block them.. LOL.
Then the 60's came around and Vietnam became a reality for us. My brother went in 67 at the age of 18 and when he came home 13 months later, he was and has never been the same.
I remember buying my first car at 16, a 1967 Yellow Mustang and that the gas cost 29 cents to 32 cents a gallon to fill it. I could run around all day for 10 bucks. I paid for my own gas and my car payment which was 58 dollars by working at Teens delight Restaurant after school and weekends.
Someone here mentioned penny candy. When I was a kid, it was 3 pieces for a penny, and movies cost 25 cents to go too. I would work in the fields on the weekend to make a buck so that my sister and I could go to the movies and I could buy us a nickel candy bar a piece, a coca cola, and a bag of popcorn, all for a dollar with change left over.
I remember when the Beatles came to American and how stupid I thought the girls were that cried over them.
I remember running my fingers through Davy Jones hair before he was big stuff.
I remember dating someone that became a star when I was 15.
I remember when we got a TV and I rushed home to watch Dark Shadows.
So many memories of my first half Century and looking forward to more the second half!
