GET A GOOD LAWYER ASAP, HUGS

Lawyer and listen to them. I was not in my right

Guidance and help. HUGS
You have to protect yourself so as the others have suggested, get a lawyer ASAP. Listen to their advice.
I feel your husband is not being a monster on purpose, and I do feel sorry for him--- However---- You have no control what he does, so just keep moving forward. Maybe someday he may find the person who can help him. He has to do this himself, first coming clean and admitting he has a problem. You can't sit around just in case it may happen in the future.
Good luck!!
Alcohol or drugs. They really, really have
To work their program hard. I know some
Go to celebrate recovery and that helps
Them too.
You can only change and fix yourself not
him. I hope you have a great therapist.

Welcome to the group
Gem - out of curiosity and not at all with any disagreement.. What makes you say that you feel bad for him?
(I have felt bad for him as well, I'm just incapable of that currently.. )
I ask only because I like to see all perspectives. I have tried for the last 4 months to keep my anger and hurt out of it and offer him compassion ... But it's most not appropriate or helpful to me to do that anymore.
His life is a mess, it's a mess he made and continues to make - and that's sad... But I have just run out of sympathy. He has hurt me too deeply.
I relate to what you said about how you feel like you are walking out of a burning building and total wreckage behind you and he is carefree and dumping gasloine at you. MY GOD! I relate to that! My husband is so cocky about his decision to desert me. He has not cried. I cry all the time. Loving him was my big life investment and now he is just DONE. And he is reclusive and mean. Pouting and being emotionally unavailable is abusive too.
It is so sad.
I can't imagine living what you are going thru tho with a sex addict. SO SAD for you. And it sounds like you are indeed married to a monster.......so scary......please please please stay AWAY from him! Do you have family and friends near you that you can lean on? You have to move forward. Just like me....my heart is totally crushed. My soul in fact. He was the only man I ever loved so deeply. And I TRUSTED him with my very soul. I belonged to him....and for what? Why does he want to leave me???? He says he loves me but not the way a husband ought to love a wife......such bullshit. We need councilling, not divorce attorneys.
And I feel you on being afraid. Financially, all of it. SCARY SHIT.
I will pray for you.
Stick to people who KNOW YOU and love you. Stick to people who are honest and who are going to be kind to you and help you go forward. THAT is where my focus needs to be but truthfully, I am still in such trauma over it. He lives here. Sleeps in the basement. It is so screwed up. We have two amazing kids. THEY DESERVE SO MUCH MORE THAN THIS! So sad.
And appeal to your mother in laws common sense. Appeal to the TRUTH. Encourage her to stand in TRUTH about the behavior her son has done. And I am certain if she does that you will not end up homeless at all anytime soon.
I am cheering for you. God bless! xoxoxoxox
running to her for support against Me. I got kicked out of
the family by most of them and My ex was cheating and
being nasty. Dysfunctional families Close the windows
and doors so no one can see in,
In alanon you are suppose to say they are sick, put a
Big S on their forehead. Its hard to do when its your
Own spouse. In my case you are suppose to forgive
Them and let them go and love them from afar.HUGS
That does NOT mean I would ever take his side. You have to protect yourself. Only he can help himself.
