I have hard times meeting new people so it is just a pain in the ass.
I have had several dates (about 10 different people). Had a few second dates, even one third date. The people that I had the second and third date with weren't interested in me. A few of the people that I had one date with I met on-line on a dating site and they blatently lied on their profile. That is why I say one and out if they don't click.
I totally agree in not wasting time/$$ with something that's not working. I'm a good example of someone that should have left years ago, but look at me now! I feel like crap because i wasted precious time with someone that was very wrong for me..... to make a long story short: don't settle for crap like i did.
I have met some women that were nice people. They were interested in me. One of them turned out to be crazy and after one date said that she was glad to have me in her life. Then she would call me all the time with these dramatic events in her life. NO WAY.....Sorry, but I have enough drama at work, I don't want it at home and if someone is calling me up all of the time and telling me about this insignifigant road rage incident that they had it is too much. I am not saying that I won't support someone, but come on...not every little things is worth all of that drama.
Another girl...I met her on line and she was nice. When I met her I was not attracted to her at all. She also would have been unable to be as active as I am and as most people on here know she would never work out for me because I am always active and on my boat. If someone has a hard time walking they will never be able to take the 15 degree heel or better of my boat when it is sailing. Sorry, no can do there.
I don't care what she does for a living, how much she makes, where she lives, what level her education is, and I am willing to try new activities as long as we have some things in common. Where I will not back down is that she has to be active, keep herself up, enjoy sailing or be willing to learn (as that is a huge part of my life), be positive and not overly dramatic, and have descent family values and morals.
Is that too much to ask?
And Heave, you can call them Women and not People, we are assuming that you're not dating both sexes....LOL.
To me, one lie is a huge thing. How are you going to trust someone if the whole meet-up starts on a small lie.
It's the 15 guys who stood me up without so much as a phone call and then days later told me all they really wanted was someone they could "f^@K and leave."
My experiences dating, is what makes me think dating isn't worth the hassle.
