Dating can be soooo disheartening! That's why I gave it up. It's just crazy.

It is what it is and always has been; it was more crazy in high school and we all loved it. Just roll with it baby, take it all with a grain of salt and an adventurous attitude; kiss a few frogs, the princess/prince is in that bunch and you'll find her/him......

Dating freaks me out... thankfully I won't need to worry about it for a while.... has anyone had any success with on-line dating, speed dating or group dating?? (I am sooo out of the loop- none of that existed twenty years ago when I was dating). Oh well- where do you even go to meet people now??

I never dated in high school, so I have no idea if I would have like it at all. I met my ex when I was 14.

Online dating was a total waste of time for me.

It's too easy to find meaningless liaisons. I prefer the heartfelt emotional/body connection but...it takes bravery to go out there and meet those frogs.

On-line dating sucks. People lie all of the time. I swear that only 10% of a person's profile is true most of the time. There are few good ones out there but catching their eye is another story. All Dating sucks!!!!!!!

I think that I have gotten to be really picky too. Probably a good thing because I am not going to settle for less after my first experience taught me such a painful lesson.

I am looking for certain personality traits, certain attitude, and I need to be attracted to them and I am probably a tad bit shallow (as are most guys). There...I said it. I was being honest. I will wait for the ladies to draw and quarter me now!

Don't set the bar high for the first few dates an you will never be disappointed.

After 5, 6,7 dates then start to see where things go, but it is all a learning experience. You are learning about them, they are learning about you, you both are learning if you could be compatible somewhere down the line.

If it doesn't work out, smile and move on, that's the joy of dating, you are not tied to someone who is not compatible with you.

Crap....I set high standards for myself, why should I expect less of others. If the first date doesn't go right I am out of there. No point in wasting time and money on something that just isn't there.

I'm too old for the whole screwing around and crap that goes with casual dating. I don't have any desire to waste my time on that shit. It's not fun. It just leaves me feeling empty and stupid.

Mopri...you're assuming you get past the first 1 or 2 dates. I have yet to have a 3rd date with anyone. Their choice, not mine. They decided if I wasn't going to hop into bed on the 1st or 2nd date, they didn't want to waste their time. And yes, many of these guys told me exactly this...usually 3 or 4 days after they stood me up without so much as a phone call.

Dating is a waste of energy. I'll find other ways to fill my time.

How do you even Know if you like someone on a first date? If you're after someone who cares, they'll probably be nervous.

And why not make the second date a more inexpensive one....going for a walk and ice cream or something.

And no way would I sleep with a complete stranger. I mean if I'd know this guy for a while in real life, then Maybe I'd sleep with them after only a few dates.

But to sleep with someone that you'd just met...yuck.
