I don't miss the sigh and look of disdain because I didn't get to cleaning the bathroom yet, although I work full time too, and have to take care of kids, bills, shopping, everything else.
I don't miss him zoning out in front of the TV in the dark and ignoring me.
Don't miss his "never apologize" philosophy.
Certainly don't miss the accusations that I was hiding money (I wasn't - he was just spending like there was no tomorrow.Bought himself a new Jaquar for his 40th birthday - did he discuss it with me? No, nor the Jeep Cherokee nor the Nissan, nor the Suburban.

I don't miss being afraid to say anything after 6 pm at night. That was when he went to bed.
I don't miss the drunken stupors that he got into, and cleaning up the vomit and other stuff that I won't mention here.
I don't miss listening to his music 14 hrs of the day, when I did not have to work, or did not take the kids away.
I don't miss the smell of being drunk on him all the time.
I don't miss him hurting me physically, and verbally.
I don't miss him cheating on me.
I don't miss the lies.
The list is long, so I will stop there. Suffice it to say. I don't miss him, and I am so thankful to be where I am today!
What I have gained.
I can wear lotion if I want too now, or perfume.
I can cook squash, which I love, and never could while married to him.
I can paint my fingernails in the house.
If I make money now, it is mine.
My children can laugh , sing, play, make noise, live now. We all walked around on egg shells before.
I can breathe. I can sleep. I can smile... So very many wonderful things in my new life..
Hugs to all my ds family. Kimmee
