Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I can hear the betrayal, the loss, the shock in your post, and I am so sorry for your suffering.
What you are feeling right now is normal. I know that may be hard to hear, but no one is prepared for what has happened to you. You had no warning, no clues that you were aware of, and that is so hard when we don't have any answers.
Pull supportive friends close to you so that you don't feel quite so alone right now.
I don't know if you have children or if she left them too, but if she did , they are going to need one parent to be there for them.
Being sick adds even more to what is happening to you, and keep in close touch with your MD so that you can stay as healthy as you can during this huge change in your life.
Stay with us here, journal your thoughts. Try and take care of yourself and get into therapy if you need it to help you start to cope with her leaving.
We put together a manual for newcomers, and I hope that you find something that provides a small measure of comfort and peace at this awful time. Healing hugs, Kimmee

Kimmeee is right. Take each day one day at a time. Try to do good things for yourself and surround yourself with people who love and care about you.
Sending some healing hugs!!
There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.
We know that drill all too well and it is so sad to see someone going through this hurt. Here are the links that a fellow DS member, PGamble, put together. We all care. It's time roll up your sleeves and start taking those necessary steps before we MARCH MARCH MARCH. Do your part and we will walk beside you and you should seek counseling in addition to your daily strength. Godspeed.

Just know for now, that you have alot going on and need to be extra gentle with yourself. Try to somehow keep in mind, ..you did nothing wrong. You are a good, decent person who met up with a dark, selfish woman.
We're all very glad you found us. When you're up to it, vent here anytime...
(((((((Hug)))))))
And to kimmeee, I have a daughter who's almost 2 years old. We lost her mother to a blood infection shortly after our miracle was born. She's saved me more times than I can count.
And for those of you who mentioned it, I started therapy in either August or September for my depression. I haven't met with her yet since my ex walked away from me, so this next visit should be an interesting one.
BUT: It's true. That's the sad fact about it. Time really does heal this. Just live everyday as best you can. Fake it if you have to and it will get easier.
Also, build up your network of friends around you. You'd be surprised whose out there willing to be in your corner. I found an old high school friend on Facebook and he has been a godsend having gone through this a few years ago.
Friends are awesome, exercise is great for helping you sleep. When you can't sleep, audiobooks are good.
big hugs
