This probably makes no sense and it's not that well written, but it's from my heart and it's raw emotion.

How could you lie to me about everything,
When all I've ever been was faithful to you?

How could you sleep at night,
Knowing what you told the one who endlessly loved you?

How could you live with yourself,
After telling me you want him to be my son, when he didn't even belong to you?

How could you make up all the lies,
And have the audacity to still want me to believe you?

How could you tell me you love me,
When it's clear now that I never meant a thing to you?

How could you leave me for dead,
When all I ever wanted was contained within you?

How could you up and walk away,
When you told me that I meant so much to you?

How could you...
Just... how could you?

Thank you very much. It's very hard and being so young I think makes it harder because a lot of people keep telling me that I shouldn't be so hung up on one person because I'm so young.

You're spot on Jaken. I'm a 17 year old child abuse victim. I was stuck in my dad's house up until this school year, when I finally made him angry enough to send me away to military school. I'm also a father, and my main concern when I was sent away was getting my little girl into a safe place whilst I was gone. She's staying with a family that lives close by where I go to school, so I can still see her on the weekends. As soon as I get out of here, I'll be turning 18, and then I'll be gone with her far away from my dad.

It does make sense, and is well written. Heartache is very painful and difficult. It is a very good thing that you are writing about how you feel. It will help you to work through this and heal. HUGS to you.

((((luckless)))) I could tell that was straight from the heart. You take all the time you need. Some people affect us in ways that are incomprehensible to others. We see them the way WE see them, not how others see them. We get hung up on them and have a hard time untangling all the emotions, reasoning, rationalizations, all of it.

Thank you everyone for being so loving and caring. I don't think you can fathom how much it means to me. I literally have no one in my family to talk to, so this is the next best thing for me.

I'm the same way. It's very difficult to cope when you have deeper things going on at the same time. Not only am I trying to deal with her up and leaving me, but I've also got a dad to be afraid of and a little girl's safety to worry about, as well as my own health. It's very trying. At least I'm able to sleep at night knowing my baby is safe and so am I for the time being.

Thank you. I take pride in being mature for my age. I had to grow up fast in order to survive growing up in my house. It's coming in handy now that's for sure.

Wow... you're so young and you have so much on your plate.

I'm sorry you're hurting.

Where is your little girls mother in all this? Do you have full custody of her?

Don't despair... like you said once you're 18 things will be different and you can be a family with your little girl!

My little girls mother passed away about 3 months after our baby was born. She had a blood disorder and it caught up with her after she had our baby. She started getting sicker during her pregnancy and they didn't think either one would survive by the time she was born. I do have full custody, except I have her in temporary care with the family that I was a nanny for before my dad sent me away. The guy has two girls. One is a year older than my baby and one is 6 years old. As soon as I get to leave my school, I'll have her back full time. I get to leave school on the weekends, so I go stay with him and his girls and my baby, so at least I still get to see her. It's so hard being away like this though.

Luckless - it's wonderful that you are trying to spend as much time as possible with your daughter. Congratulations to you. You are articulate, obviously intelligent and I believe will go far. All the best to you.

Luckless... I know you can't wait to be with her... but please remember this. You'll have an easier time raising her if you have education under your belt.

I won't be easy... there might be some government assistance where you're from that you can take advantage of so you can stay in school but think about her future... think about when she's in her teens and you want to be able to send her to school or college or what have you... you can't do that on minimum wage. Don't quit school finish and get your diploma. Take some classes when you can after... there are some schools that offer day care services too.

I am very impressed by everything you've said. You are a smart guy and that is one lucky little girl.
