Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

I wanted that Someone to be my husband. We had been together 27 years and married 14. And,, the pain and grieving for that lost dream was a long road.
And every time we "talked", it made things worse because I started grieving again.
I would have done almost anything at the time to save my marriage - luckily, I also realized (and demanded) respect for my own needs. For instance, (shocker) he could not be with me if he had a girlfriend. Pretty simple.
I've meandered off point...
The hardest thing for me to get over was the loss of the dream of who I thought he was ... And what I thought my future with him woud be. No contact is the only way to go. And, while you can't go 100% with kids, you can get very close. Keep conversations short, business-like and by text or email if possible. And, you need your own living space.
if I remember your story right, there is Infidelity yes? just add one more point - yes, she may very well be sad. She is realizing she has to choose. She wants to have her cake (safe husband, nice home, respectable social ties) and eat it too (sexy, romantic, affair). she can be sad that she can't have it all, but you deserve more than that.
Sorry if I put too much of myself in there!
You will feel strong again.
