Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
It is painful, but so is being in limbo. I've been there, both places. Ex wife pretended to try to fix the marriage (marriage counseling), but was already checked out. Then said she wanted a divorce. At that point I knew she was checked out and I made my moves - lawyer, new place to live, etc. Later I found out about her cheating. About 98% of the time (IMO) when you reach a place like this with a middle-aged spouse who "doesn't know what they want", "needs time to find themselves" - they are cheating. Sometimes just emotionally, but usually physically too.
Best wishes to you. Set that deadline. Act positive and normal at home, don't initiate any conversations with her. Let her initiate, speak cordially, no affection until/unless she initiates, including hugs/kisses. You are building the "new you" and you will need that foundation if (most likely) she is checked out and you are on the path to divorce.
Oh, and the fact that she's done this to you before - massive red flag!! Likely had a fling that didn't work out, came back to you. That is no way for you to live. Your princess is no prize. Good luck!
