I'm a bit confused as to why your concerned that he's blocked you. If you got a Restraining Order he's not supposed to be contacting you anyway....so this shouldn't be an issue.

Boys/men tend to act like idiots when they don't get their way or something gets done to them that they don't want. Once you get past the restraining order settled, then you can deal with child support and those types of thing for the baby to be. Try to think more rationally, this doesn't sound like the person you need to be around, it doesn't take much to harm an unborn baby...and he seems to have some temper issues. You need to think of you and your babies safety first and foremost.

Thank you for your reply. I’m not so much concerned that he blocked me. It’s how he did it. He called me restricted over and over until he knew I’d call him back and when I did I was blocked. It was like a game to him. Just to cause me more stress.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I know it sucks to know you will have the baby without being in a relationship with the father. As though as it will be though, nobody needs an unfaithful cheater who also verbally abuses them. You deserve better than that. I know the deep pain of being cheated on. My girl of 8 years cheated on me and then left me and blamed it all on me. And we have a son together. So my situation may be different than yours, but the hurt, anger, resentment, confusion and every other possible emotion, i know how you feel. Personally I am trying to trust in God to get me through it.

Thank you for your kind words. And yes, I feel all of those things. Some moments sad, then angry...It’s like you’ve been made to feel like a total fool. There is so many things he has done that we’re out of line...the cheating and verbal abuse were just the icing on the cake. And still no apology...no taking any responsibility whatsoever. I wonder how people can treat others this way? Especially when they have someone who is loving and faithful to them and tries to make them a better person daily... I have lost all trust...I don’t know if I will ever be able to trust in a relationship again. It’s like I’ve been traumatized.

Thank you for reminding me of that. Each day is a new day and I should be feeling free and embracing my life without the chaos! I think some of it is hormones from the baby. But I’m working on myself to ensure that I don’t fall into this type of situation again. So many red flags I ignored.

So sorry to hear what you are going through. Abusive relationships are not only hard to live in; they are sometimes even harder to break free from. Be proud that you have taken the steps to ensure you and your baby are safe. It takes times to break free from the "game playing". My ex had me so convinced I was the problem it took some counseling to help me see that I was fine. I may have done some "crazy" things but they helped me survive. It's time to change your self talk to positive things about yourself. Maybe check to see if there is a local abuse shelter/program with a support group you could get into. It is time to hear that you are ok!

Do you know why he has become so abusive is he not happy about the. baby? I was once a young man with a girlfriend who was pregnant and scared out of my mind, I did not know what to do and life was over but things sort of worked out. I married that girl and it was the biggest mistake of my life. So he may not be a father to your baby bit that might end up being the best thing and you can find someone who really loves you.

Missy -- not only are the "absurd" relationships harder to break free from, they leave scars people don't see. Make sure you are taking care of yourself, and finding positive people to have in your life. I found once I left my "ex" it was harder because I had been so beaten down and I didn't even know what to expect from others. I found a local church that was caring and upbeat; they welcomed me in and helped me heal and grow, a little at a time. We sometimes loose sight of how much God loves us during challenging times. Emotions heal, and we do get stronger. Just keep on moving.

Rowanda...you’re words are encouraging as well as inspiring. Everyday is a new day. I try my best to keep positive and strong. I am just proud of myself for not going back this time and standing my ground. I haven’t felt this much peace in months. I sometimes hope...and maybe selfishly, that he will not want anything to do with the baby when she is born. At first I was worried about him being an absent parent. But God will inevitably decide what’s best and I put my faith and hope on Him.

Missy... I'm so glad you are feeling some peace and standing your ground. Are you part of a church family? They can really come along side you during this time. Then is the baby due? Focus on that exciting reality and don't let worry about what might or might not happen take that away. Taking care of yourself and making good choices are the best thing you can do for yourself and your baby.
