Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
But..
be careful. Your kids will hear it too.
People will see the truth whether you proclaim it to the world or not. Don't let her get your dignity, too.
Tell whoever you feel you need to to make yourself feel better but the buck stops at the kids. Dont tell them, dont do that to them, you'll only hurt them and look bad in their eyes. You need to draw that line and not put those children in the middle, that's just wrong.
Your angry now but in the end, arent you really better off for seeing the truth of the matter. Hang in there. It can only go up from here.
Oh yeah, the authors are: Elizabeth Landers and Vicky Mainzer
It's a hot-pink book, paperback, not very thick. In the book it says that men will never leave until they absolutely have something else set up with another woman. That's exactly what my husband did. I think you'll like this book if you can find it.
My 6 year old doesnt know anything except we live apart and are getting divorced. The rest im sure he will figure out when he gets older. Its not something I can really tell him about now even if I wanted to.
So sorry for what you are going through. I know you are hurt and angry, but please be careful what you say about her to the people you both knew. It may backfire on you and make you look like a very desperate ex husband and don't forget you two have children together.
Try to take the high road. Later on you will not regret it.
In the mean time, talk to a therapist and tell him/her what an ashole the ex was.
I'm all about not trashing the ex's to the kids. I don't think that means not telling them the truth. Since all of this affects them the most..I think they are entitled to a truthful..and age appropriate..explanation.
I agree with taking the high road. Vent here. Don't involve your children in your anger. See a lawyer. See a counselor. Get yourself strong and healthy and give your children all the love and support they need to get through this.
I just want this all to be over with.
I just want this to all be over.
My stbx calls me constantly. I hate the sound of his voice. I don't want to see him.
I just want to end this and move on.
I feel for you
