I hate to say it but the system is broke. I don't like the ideas that have been put out there but something needs to be done.
On top of all of this it is really heard to get the straight skinny on the bill because there are so many groups muddying up the waters and it is hard to know exactly what all these reform bills really will do.
To give the Canadians some credit, their health care system seems to be working better than ours. We should take a look at what is working and modify it to fit us.
Regardless of what party your represent, you have to admit that this whole thing is a mess. It seems that neither party has the real fix or answer for this. This is where I wish that all the special interests and politics could be put aside so that we, the American People, can benefit for once!

although it appears that the health care reform won't go far enough, at least it will be big steps in the right direction.
compared to the other western countries, ours is a travesty. and, the saddest part is just how fooled most Americans are into believing that it is so good the way it has been. oh, the power of money and propaganda. it never ceases to amaze me.
