Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Why do you document everything diemjs? You must trust him implicitly if you are doing that. Should he not do the same thing? I'm completely missing something here. A year or two down the road I could see your x in court after an arguement about support payments. "Duhh , well I gave her cash really I did." He wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Now he does.
Trust is great in a marriage Sandy. It's rather foolish when your divorced.
I am in no way making this personal, I'm sorry if you were offended. I'm offering reasons why I would document everything.
Peace

Gave me a good laugh today...so far :)
My stbx asked for a reciept and other documentation (for lessons for son--he pays half).
On one hand, I felt like he was trying to make me jump through hoops.
When I tried to look at it from his perspective, I came to believe that he is probably trying to bring order to the chaos that has become our life. His son is not 14 hours away from him. He feels like he is bleeding money (this is his first month of having to pay child support, he also lacks my income contribution), plus with son starting school, there have been a lot of extras. I think he was trying to get some kind of handle on it.
That being said--he asked for the damn divorce so he could live his little "vida loca"--SO TOUGH FREAKIN' TOENAILS!!!!!!
pant, pant, pant...
(Chichi takes another deep breath--or 7)
It only takes a few minutes to fax a piece of paper--if that brings a bit of peace to an otherwise out of control world--so be it.
Breathe in, breathe out--and pour grace over the chapped areas...
just kidding...... :)
The problem I have is, he wants a receipt for a partial payment which is already late. That's kind of ridiculous and crappy. But I agree, damaging to him.
I do make copies of everything that is sent and received between me and my stbx. I think that's only wise.
Its just good business sense and self protection... You just never know....
Try not to take it personally. Its more about him than it is about you.
my kids do get court ordered child maintenance...and my EX took it upon himself to pay me every two weeks...his decision to split it into two payments....Fuktard!..my tenant pays me on time...always!
anyhow...at least the Fuktard is paying...so I am being flexible..as for your Fuktard...don't be starting a precedent here...with him doing this partial payment thing all the time.
give him the receipt...and tell him you want future funds paid up all at once. Don't allow him to make major pattern changes...understandably things happen and it was something he needed to do this time.
