thanks wick, i agree. it is not fair to come on here and do this to any of us. i too wanted to kill myself in the beginning of my break-up, the first time, i was pacing the kitchen with a bottle of pills in my hand and through Gods grace my oldest son happened to call on his way home from a softball game and i just started to cry and told him, he came right over, 2nd time, called a suicide hot line, that was the last day i talked to the ex, sept. 3, 2007. i did not mention it to anyone, i have mentioned it several times since to people on here and also in my journal. i wish people would not do this. it's so aggravating and selfish. i too have seen it many times here. it just plain stinks to put people through this.

vicky, you have a long life ahead of you, you need to choose to make it a good one. you will have people come and go in and out of your life. some you will love, and some you won't like at all. honey, grow up. make a plan, goals, dreams, start working on them. and along the road somewhere, mr. right will come along and make your life so much happier. you have not even given it a chance. how about jumping in my daughters shoes, her whole life has been turned upside down by breast cancer, all the plans and dreams. take a breath, and make plans for a great life. stop feeling sorry for yourself. hate me for this if you want, but it's truly coming from the heart.

Vickie, if you're only 19 how was this person the love of your life? You've only had 19 years of life. There are people twice your age who have yet to meet the love of their lives.

I can't sit here and beg you to rethink and ask you to value your own life. I simply don't know how to do that. We all fall down and each and every person on this site has gotten back up. Life is something you have to be strong to endure. You can chose life, chose strength, chose what's behind door number 3 or you can end it. Simple as that. But know this..there is no coming back after you're gone. There are no do-overs.

I agree with Wick. People who really mean to do it..just do it. If you need attention say it and we'l give it to you. I hate these threads because I feel suicide is cheating. The rest of the world has to deal with our problems and disappointments while others look for the easy way out leaving their burdens on someone elses plate. Your issue can be over in a matter of months or even a year. Death is perminant and the effect it has on the people around you last longer than a few months.

Honestly how many of us have thought the same thing at one point. That the pain is just too much to handle, and that it would be easier to just die. I know those thoughts came into my head! Vicky, right now, I am 6 months into my seperation and I couldn't be happier. Things DO change babe, it just takes times. It gets worse before it gets better, but when it's better, it's better than it ever was!

What confuses me is that people make a post on here like this - presumably to gain support? but then we don't hear from them again. Wuz up with this?

I have to admit there have been times in my life when I thought why am I here and what is the point. The fact is I am not going to give up for any one, not even myself. If you really want to be happy you can be, you just have to keep looking for it. The day you stop trying to be happy should be the day its all over but not because you chose to end it but because it was your time. We have all had stuff taken from up but no one can take away our happiness unless we let them.

I'd like to add something a little different here - During a Discovery Channel program on the Golden Gate Bridge they showed an excerpt of an interview with a person who jumped from the bridge and had survived. He said that on the way down he suddenly came to the realization that every problem in his life could be solved and every mistake he'd ever made could be corrected - except for his last choice (to jump).

Wick i totally agree w u. it's been my experience that ppl who truly decide 2 end it all jus do it privately w/o tellin a soul. they kno if they mentioned it someone would try & stop em. i jus found out yesterday an ex co-worker of mine jus killed himself. it surprized everyone. he wuz a single father. he wuz young, healthy, handsome, had skills but obviously had problems that overwhelmed him. i kno if i were goin 2 kill myself no one would kno until it wuz 2 late. jus tryin 2 prove a point.
