My ex keeps sending me flowers and saying things in text. He wants me back. This is not what I want. How do I stop this and keep peace? I don't want our boys hurt. Right now we have an agreement to be amicable and just friends for our kids. He hurt me so bad emotionally, I'll never trust him again and I lost my feelings for him.

get a restraining order its the only way you will get any peace
sam445
a restraining order is probably the best idea, also change your number or he's going to keep texting

They have kids together so I don't think restraining orders and changing numbers is going to work. All you can really do is suggest you'd rather communicate via email and keep it about the kids and financials only. Is there lawyers involved? It's pretty common for an ex to love bomb you if they want you back. Eventually over time if you just keep rejecting him he'll back off ..no one wants to be rejected every day.

Remember those flowers will eventually die, just like he tried to "kill" you emotionally. Take care of yourself!!
Q-dot
Thought in one of your previous post you said something about him introducing your kids to his girlfriend so why did he still want you. if you're still thinking of giving him a chance it's up to you but if not you can block is number so he can't call or message you.
Punk
keep anything he sends you and never look back flowers and a card save the card text messages save them inform him that what he is doing is harassment and if he doesn't stop you'll file charges that should shut him up and off and never look back.

Q dot, no he doesn't have a girlfriend. I said I met someone. I don't want him back. I just need to keep the peace for my boys, at least for now. I just wish he would stop.

I suggest you reinforce the message to him that it is over and, is so forever. You deserve the best, nothing less than, I would be telling him that also. He failed to cut the mustard, he failed to measure up.

I don't know your ex or his level of stability but can you ask him to stop? You don't actually have to be his friend because you have kids together. You should be amicable but that is different from being friends. Don't accept delivery of the flowers and ask them to be returned. I wish you all the best.
sjs777
keep responses short and business like and only regarding the kids

Today he left a really emotional text. I actually told him tonight that dealing with his emotions and mine was upsetting me and that I needed him to back off. He agreed and said he would. Let's hope he does. If not then I'm going to get mean.
PeteMason
He needs professional help, I would suggest it to him if I was you.

This is normal for couples to feel this way and there be rejection. Tell him how you feel like you just told us. Start sending them back. Return to sender. Let him know there is no chance you will take him back and put it in writing. Sometimes people need proof. Sorry this isn't easy. Been there done that
