Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I think you feel it and let it pass through you.
Feel all of it, then let it pass. If you fight it, you will continue to fight it, and never get through it.
Often there is no time to feel it and let it pass. People have to work and manage their responsibilities. You can't lose it at work.
I have cried in my boss's office on several occasions. I feel no less the man for it.
lol unless it's dealing sex and I'm really in the mood to play along.
I was just asking soon what he means by what he said. Maybe there is more to it than I'm thinking.
There is a way that does work though.
Schedule it. Say I am really going to be with this, intensely for an hour, a half-hour, whatever you need. Cry, throw things, yell, scream whatever you need to do. Then as time progresses, schedule less and less time. Before you know it (not really... you'll know it), you will be through it.
Sometimes it blindsides you and right when you're feeling OK, BAMMMM down like a quarterback.
Go ahead, get back in the shower cry, scream, wipe the snot and if you gotta do it all over again - go ahead. I'll have plenty of towels waiting.
p.s. Evil ex will get hers for giving up Gato. There's a place in hell for animal haters. grrrrrrr!
Comedy is a great stress reliever and I have noticed that I am losing that part because it allowed me to fake it till I make it....
So, you fell but know we are here to pick you up however you want us to and whatever style you need us to.
I wish I could pray for you but, these days, I can't even pray for myself. Do know that I do want you to have a peaceful journey through this battlefield of divorce.
You're another year older, wiser, and closer to the joy that you deserve.
"... I feel lost, or have I lost enough?
Remaining friends remind me as they say:
'It's up to you, you, you....the things you throw away.'"
So decide what you're going to keep dragging around with you like so much baggage, or start throwing away the crap you don't need.
It's up to you.
