I received some not so great news today....
The other half of my heart has been deployed to the Middle East for a year now. I received notification this evening that he has been injured. He is OK, nothing too major, but my heart has completely sunk today.
I feel so helpless. I cant reach him. I cant call. I cant be there with him and he is half a world away.

Feeling so out of sorts.
Top this off with this is the SECOND time I have received one of those phones calls in this lifetime....and its definitely brought up some things from the past.

I still havent heard anything about his condition or what is happening.
And that scares me. I had a similar experience like this with my ex husband in 2003 and when I received the call, they purposely lied and didnt tell me the extent of injuries until days later when i found out the truth.
Im not trying to compare situations. I just hate NOT knowing what is going on....and the fact that I cant be by his side :( It hurts. I really hope I hear something soon, but being that its about 1:20 AM there right now..I guess I will be waiting until tomorrow at the very least.
