A year ago we my husband and I decided we didn't want to raise our girls in a certain place anymore..Our spiritual journey had come to a standstill for where we were..We took our desires to God and asked him to open a door as to where we should be in life..Well we had taken a vacation to Kauai Hawaii..and while we were there we fell in love with the place, the people and thought it was a wonderful place to raise the girls..When we came back from our vacation we asked the company if there was any jobs there in Kauai. The company said we don't have a company based in Kauai..we just have an outsider distributor there and we don't hire there...So we prayed and prayed and within 7 mos later the company had opened here on the island and we got a phone call one day asking if we'd like to take a job in Kauai..We prayed about it more, because we knew it would be financially straining but not impossible. God told us in two months , yeh our offer stayed open for two months until we took it..So we have been here for a year and we love it here..But we have missed our older children whom live on the mainland..We only get to see them maybe 2 times a year for about a 2 month period at a time...a week or two here and there when we /or they fly..So once again we are finding ourselves praying as to where God would like for us to be..Wishing we could be closer to the older kids...We applied for a Job in the hometown of where the kids are...Everyone had the paperwork done, The boss was wanting him to return, his boss here didn't want us to leave but filled the paperwork out anyway, and they got the application. We got a message ove the weekend as to he was not going to get the job in our hometown because he was not reachable..When we talked about it today we see why God did not return us to the same situation we left..He knew we would not be truelly happy and not do his work as he has wanted us to., not on our parts but others..
Anyways there is another job interview to go to next week and we have to fly in for 2 days..It was a place that we considered before moving to Kauai...We are going to look at pay, housing and would be happy that it is an 1hr1/2 away from older kids..But if it does not work out for some reason we will know that we are to stay in Kauai and that we are blessed no matter what..God will make a way if it is to be here no mater what, he will provide for us for it is his promise to us...He says don't worry about tomorrow for today has enough worries of it's own..He feeds the little sparrows why would he not feed me for he loves me greater..
So given this, I would love to be on te coast closer to my kids but if it is his will we stay here he will provide it for us, and I am sure he will ease the pain of seeing my kids only a few times a year..Maybe there will be a day in their life it may bring them to Hawaii for a better life of their own who knows..
Cmondo, Be careful what you ask God for, ask him for his plans, or you may just end up taking a permanent vacation like us in Kauai..which isn't too bad afterall!!!
Know you are blessed in the day as it comes..
If it were me asking, We would have adopted a son by now , we would have just moved back to home for the best ultimate financial stability beyond immaginable, ummm let me see we would have bought a second home where ever by now not sure if that is where we need to be..
But when after the time has passed I see why God has not put another son in our life, perhaps it is for us as a couple to spend the rest of our lives doing other things together and helping others accomplish goals as far children of the world is concerned..I am glad we didn't just move back we would be really stuck in a position where we don't need to be as far as a couple, it wouldn't help us to be as close as we are now and there would be other strains..
So I am learning to seek Gods plan first and to wait for his best result for our lives..His plan is always the best plan after all..
We all have to go through things to learn a certain lesson in life..And that is to be closer to God and be his desciple..If we all look back on our lives and find out where we went wrong by not trying to achieve God first in our life then we will have the answers as to why we are where we are in life..
My husband and I have both been where you have been..we weren't really christian in our previous marriages, and that is why they failed..You can only pray, and seek and ask God to show you the way to open a door to provide for your kids..And He will, through you, with or without this mans support..and you too will be exactly where God wants you to be seeking him..and relying on him..and he will return all things to you..
