I can feel my husband pulling away from me, and it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I know what's coming, but i am helpless to stop it.
We've been together sixteen years, married for thirteen. It's been a bumpy ride, but I've stood by him, and I try SO HARD to be a good wife and mom and be his helpmate and friend, but he's always so angry. I feel like he hates me. I know I annoy him, I can tell. I have spent my entire adult life helping him get to where he is and conquer all his obstacles, and now i feel like he just wants me to go away. He won't talk to me anymore he xan bately stand to be in the same room with me, he is always looking for something else to do. Somewhere else he has to be. I don't underatand what went wrong.
I miss my friend. I miss the way we used to be and I don't know how to cope with losing everything like this. My anxiety is out of control and I feel like I'm drowning. I just don't understand how he can be so cold.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
I'm sorry you are going through this.
When you say you always stood by him, and helped him conquer his obstacles, and it's been a bumpy ride... what do you mean by that? Are you talking alcohol or substance abuse by him, by chance? Because that could alter his moods.
Don't worry, I think this can be saved. A little more info would be helpful. When did this behavior of his start?
@FOF9303 I have asked him to do counseling, he said okay, but I think he will back out. I am in counseling for my anxiety, and I'm trying to get into counseling to help me with our communication issues.
Guess it wouldn't hurt to find a time when you know he is just relaxing and not stressed, and ask him if there is a reason why he seems more mad at something and why is he snapping at you. See what he says. You have a right to know what is going on with him, if it affects you, which it clearly is. But you might have to ask him more than one time to find out what he is all upset about.
It's hard to know where to start to fix this, when he won't even say what is wrong. Hopefully he will tell you what is bothering him. At least then, you will have something to work with.
Keep trying to talk to him. I think eventually he will say what is bothering him.
In the meantime, take good care of YOU. It's upsetting how he is being, but regardless of his moods, make sure and take good care of you. De-stress, do things you like doing, chat with your friends and family, spend time with friends, do stuff you like to do.
Let us know. Good luck.
