Eating by yourself

Do you think it's normal to be anxious about going to a restaurant by yourself, sitting down and eating a whole rack of ribs? I've got to get used to doing stuff alone. How about a vacation by yourself? Would people look at me like I'm lame?

Im actually finding that Im NOT eating. Just because Im too lazy and not real big into grab and go foods. Im trying to break that habit.

I've been wanting to go check out the local pub scene but do find it odd to just walk into somewhere I've never been all by myself.

Lol. Eat whatever you want. But if you order 7 entrees and 2 bottles of wine, people are not looking at you because you're alone. They're looking at you because you're crazy.

I traveled extensively with work so eating on my own is second nature. Don't over think this......people do it all the time.......and look around, often people are eating together, going to the movies as a couple and they are all alone.....sad but true.

I was talking to someone on here about taking a vacation alone today and it made me think what I would even do? She told me to go to a restaurant, while wearing a top hat and ordering fajitas...sizzle, sizzle...

I have no problem going to restaurants, movies, the theater alone, or with going on trips alone.

I can appreciate that some might feel anxious about these things -- but you should not care whether people will look at you like you're lame (yes, even if you eat a whole rack of ribs). Besides, I doubt most people would think anything.

Well I just found out that she is going to the beach on Memorial Day weekend and guess what? I wasn't invited...

So, it looks like I'll date myself! I might even try to kiss me...

Rman, I kiss you...NOT!!! I wonder that too. I want to take a cruise or go somewhere far away but to do it by myself...dunno, but I guess I better get used to it. I have often eaten out and do other things myself, so that does not bother me. I want to dress up in a pretty dress and go to a fancy restaurant and eat a nice meal, even if I have to do it alone.

I see lots of people eating/vacationing by themselves. When at the Grand Canyon (on my way to son's) I saw at least 10 men on their own. I actually stood and watched to see if they were with anyone. They were alone.
No one was looking at them. Except for me. :o)
It's something we have to get used to, I guess.

I LOVE sitting in a cafe or an outdoor patio by myself with the asunday paper, do the crossword, people watch.

Maybe because I'm a NY'er? I just never had a problem with it. Sometimes I don't WANT to, but if I do I go.
