Here is the thing. Traditionally society has said that Men aren't supposed to cry or show emotions. We are supposed to keep a stiff upper lip and just deal with it. Talking to other guys about emotions or hurt shows our weaknesses.

A lot of guys are raised this way. They will keep to these norms and avoid places like this because they don't want to appear weak.
