one of my sons is a bit of a computer whizz.....I'm toying with the idea of getting him to wire up my keyboard so that if i key in "faceb..." it zaps me, "facebo..." REALLY zaps me...and "facebook" knocks me out. sigh. I am totally the biggest idiot here for going there,
and that's AFTER I defriended him and he refused my re-friend request... what a dumbass.

Charyss, wish I had that program while I was married. Was emotionally destroyed on a daily basis for years because of my wife's Facebook.

So I did it. I un-friend-ed all her family members and the ex. It was harder than i thought it was going to be. Took me several attempts before I could finally click the button. I feel like some weight has been lifted. Unfortunately there are other ways to get back in and see what I want to see....I will have to maintain some real self control to get through this.

I un-friended my stbx and everyone of his friends. It still bothered me just going on Facebook so I deleted my account and haven't been back. THAT was liberating. I don't miss it either. The people I care most about I talk to in person or on the phone. I really never saw the point of Facebook in the first place. Why do I care what people are doing every second of the day? It's really pretty strange the way some people think you want to know what they're having for dinner or what movie they're watching tonight.

My snooping on facebook backfired on me. i had been so proud of myself I was handling things great then I see the picture of them together and it has caused me so much pain.

I am going to make a consious effort to deactivate my facebook and take a break. that may be one of my new years resolutions. I need the peace of him out of my life in all areas

I just re-activated my account yesterday. I have a lot of photos to share with family and friends and it's a great place to do it instead of having to email them to everyone. So what I did was take everyone who wasn't my family or my friends off of my list. I don't think there is one person left in my list that has him as a friend. Accept my kids because I think that would be horrible for me to tell them to take him off their list. They still love him too. It's kind of nice though. I didn't realize how many people were on my friends list that I didn't actually consider friends. I'm down to 28 people now. That's much more like it. I don't get how someone can have 300 people on their list. That seems more like a chat room than a family and friends list.

So true my husband and I seperated on New Year's Eve, (our 24th wedding anniversary too) and yesterday he "unfreinded" me on Facebook and changed his relationship status to "seperated". I hate to be ugly but how much more like a 15 year old kid could he act?? I have bigger concerns than washing the dirty laundry of our life out on FB!!!

Three days and I haven't looked at her page once! Helps that I un-friended her and all her family. It's tough, but I think it's making a difference.

remember to set your profile to friends only--not friend of friends--or anybody--check fb monthly because it has a way of changing the friend site -for you who have a fd check the setting now

When my husband signed up for facebook, he was dying to reconnect with all his friends (female and male). Between facebook, his new motorcycle, his spin class instructor who stole him from me, and a touch of a midlife crisis, he's GONE.

I have to agree, I found my ex making comments abouthow his life was so much better. He made the decision to walk out on an 9 year marriage and two small kids to live the life he wanted because our family was not it.
