Last January everything in my life was right. I was in supervision where I was working and I was still with my ex.
From May and into June I watched most of what I called success go away. I lost my promotion and was sent back to the road. At the same time I was having horrible health issues and my ex left me.
In November of this year I was still going through the whole divorce thing. I was also having more troubles at work. I had never been popular with my last employer and they had been treating me wrongly since I had been there. I was able to deal with it for 7 years.
By the end of November my health was approaching a red zone. I have already had a heart attack and I have a stint. My blood pressure, even though I was taking blood pressure medicine, was shooting up to 220 of 110 at times. My doctor said that I had to do something or I would have another heart attack or something else.
Finally, I decided that I had enough of where I was living, being in the same area as my ex, and I had enough of my work place. My health was important and more important than the other things. I decided to so something drastic.
I moved out of where I was living (I had already moved two times that year because my ex got the house). I resigned from my job and moved in with my parents.
I had no idea how bad the job market was until I started looking for a job. I am still looking and hope that I find something soon. I can hold out for a while longer. The divorce is finished and I am legally divorced now.
I now wonder if I did the right thing by leaving all of that stress behind and moving out of the area, trying to close that chapter in my life. My health is back and I am in good shape again. I have to admit that I feel much better and it is nice not to worry about things now.
Did I do the right thing? Will I have to face the other problems I left behind or will they stay back in my past? These are my only worries now.

I do believe he would have had another deadly heart attack if we didn't.
