Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Would you rather be unemployed and able to take care of your health, or dead because you had another heart attack?
Had you not done it. I might not be reading your post right now guy.
I think you did the right thing for your health!
Being unemployed isn't so bad, but this economy is rough. It is hard to find anything. I have litterly sent out hundreds of applications with no responses. Oh well, something is bound to come up.
I think you just need to live your life day-to-day for a while. Stop all this pondering about where your life is headed or if you made the right decision. Take the gifts you get each day and enjoy them.
Just my take on this. Hugs to you.
Ever think of being a harbor master?
Not only do I think you made the right decision, but I do not think there was a decision to make at all.
What you did was a no brainer to me.
Unemployment or death? Simple
But you did what you felt was right for you and your health. And if your health is better, as it sounds like it is, then you did the right thing. I agree with soon, unemployed and healthy is better than dead any day!
"Did I do the right thing?
Will I have to face the other problems I left behind or will they stay back in my past?"
What's done is done. Learn from it and more forward.
You say...
"My health is back and I am in good shape again. I have to admit that I feel much better and it is nice not to worry about things now."
I think you answered your questions and the fear of our unknown future is causing you to question yourself.
Hugs Heave
I regrouped, found resources, went back to school and my children were my incentive and they were happy because we learned to be happy about things that were not material; rahter, whenever we saw a rainbow we would refjoice and simple glimpses of nature's beauty.
Now, I own my own home which was fruit of MY labor, I help my daughter with her college, just go my middle son in college and eventually, I will reap from that labor of love.
Love yourself and cultivate your garden as we only have one life to live and it shouldn't be wasted on dwelling of the what ifs and the what nots.
