I tried last night to listen to everyone and do something for me. I called a friend to go out and play some pool. Just wanted a break from the house. I dropped my 2 boys off at grandma's house and started my night. It was hard to go out without her. It felt overwhelming but it was a place we never went to together so no memories to bring me down. From the first rack until the drop of the 8 ball I didn't have any painful thoughts. I was actually at ease and having fun. But sadly to say she didn't let it last long. While I was out she decided to pop in to see the boys, only way later finding out she wanted to see me. My phone goes off. I answered the 2 call and said hello. The next words out of her mouth were "I'm taking the boys!". I asked what was going on and was told it's none off my business. She went to my mother's house and forced them out of the house. In hindsight I should have called the police immediately. I raced home, but I was 45 min out. After 20 minute of her having the boys sit in her truck watching her cry she dropped them back at grandma's. They were in full panic. Several call and text exchanges later an a stop at the police department by me she tell me she is giving up all parental rights. She wrote out a letter "to whom it may concern" stating that (not legally binding). Along with several other letters about how horrible and toxic she is to me and the kids. With everything she's done I should be pleased, but I feel horrible for my young boys. I can't wrap my head around how anyone could do that to their kids. I know it's not easy for her, but seriously. There is so much more but maybe for another time.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Did you get your daughter back, I hope?
My daughter is a sad story. She is currently in a hospital due to depression and bad thought. Her mother has broken her and because I'm technically not her father I currently don't have rights. By the time I could get the courts to give me that right she will be 18 and it will be her choice to leave. My STBX might lose her from this situation and maybe she can live with me, but can't focus on what might happen. I need to focus on what I can control.
