hello. So I have been with my husband for almost 5 years but been with him for about 10 years. It has been a huge roller coaster. Last night I caught him texting one of his female friends about he hates our marriage and is completely unhappy. That isn't the part that hurts. But rather he proceeds to tell her that he has always liked and tried to see if she felt the same way. In the end a lot of issues stem from his actions. This is not the first time he has done this, actually he has physically cheated on me as well. We have a child and I've been trying to make it work. But ultimately I've just given up. We started very young and it has been his inability to fully grow up, respect me and basically completely not being able to settle down that has destroyed our marriage. I just don't understand how he thinks picking and choosing to work on the marriage to tend to my needs was going to strengthen the marriage. He expects me to meet his needs completely but for me I have to just take what he gives. I know this has to do with immaturity. I know I am distant but it's because I just can't treat someone how they want to be treated when I feel used and abused. Yet he just doesn't see it that way. He does one good things and it's like omg I need to reward it. But it's soooo frustrating that he can complain to someone else and disrespect me like this (amidst everything I have never been unfaithful) I confronted him and his response was oh if you want to take it like that then whatever... I know he is mad he got caught. I didn't fight I even told him it's okay to feel unhappy , he should have told me so we could discuss ending the marriage but it's like he wants to go around feeling this way to legimize his disrespectful behavior. Today I stayed home to cry to sleep to mourn the end of my 15 year relationship. Thank you for letting me vent.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

You're growing, he's not.
As a woman, if some man came crying to me about his marriage, I'd be completely turned off. I'd tell him to go talk to a therapist and his wife.
Totally disrespectful and immature.
You deserve better.
where am I going ?
We diserve best !!! Yes cry, be sad but at the end understand everything happens with a reason and I'm sure something better in life is coming our way
Hugs!
I hope it works out for you in the end.
I suggest joining a divorce group and keep going to therapy. It does help. I found no contact with my stbx to be a blessing. Work on yourself. Eat healthy, exercise if you can. It helps with the stress. In time the pain will lesson. Stay strong and positive. -HUGS-
Good luck! I wish you all the best.
I use the term 'man' loosely.
this guy has never been married to you, because if he were, he wouldn't have texted some woman about how tough it was to be him (my heart bleeds) but would instead have been telling you. There's a wall around married people, that keeps their stuff in and other stuff out. And he has never built his half of that wall.
you can't talk about this. It's not a counselling thing. It's not kindergarten, where everyone tells him nicely to put his shoes in the shoe box. This personal honour and integrity - and he ain't got none. You can't teach someone honour.
you're doing the right thing, I'm so sorry for how much loss it causes. I've been there, and it's devastating. But at least you have your own self respect. Hang on in there. xx
