I have a horrible day. I called Geico to ask them about the job. Someone else got the job and I didn't get it. They told me to apply again in six months because I am qualified for the job.
I went to the P.D. and gave them my resignation. It is effective on 12-31-08 and I am on vacation until then. I have numerous court dates for the next few months too. I am leaving them on very good terms and I was given a few letters of recommendations from them.
A horrible sinking feeling came over me for a while. I am not looking at a very short time left for employement and no job opportunities that I know of.
I have put applications with two Sheriff's Offices in my area but they aren't hiring. It could change because I am certified and I have a lot of experience so a sheriff could maybe overload his department to pick me up. I guess I will also be putting an application in with some other Police Departments. This economy is so bad that Police Departments and Sheriff's Offices aren't hiring. Ugh!
I didn't want to fall back in the trap of law enforcement but at this point I am feeling desperate for a job. Some department is bound to pick me up because of my certifications, qualifications, and my specializations.
I feel discouraged at this point but I know that I am doing what I have to do to get by. Something is bound to come up but I hope that it is sooner than later.
Why do I have to do everything the hard way? Why can't anything go easy for me? I feel like am destined to climb up hill and fighting the whole way.
I just wish I didn't have any debt hanging over my head. If I didn't I could hold out for an incredible amount of time but I am looking at neededing to get a job by the end of Feburary.

The right job will come along and it will be exactly what you need. Just take deep breaths and relax.

This really sucks that I can't control this anxiety thing. I have always had great control over my mind, body, and thought but I have lost the control over some of the things because of the anxiety.
My parents don't understand what anxiety is like and it is something I can't really control. I tried to explain it to them but they just can't grasp what I am going through. UGH!
You're going to be OK. Nothing that happens today will bring about the end of the world. I know when you're OCD it's hard to go with the flow of things. I've been there...but you just have to stay in the moment...and give yourself a chance to relax. Maybe headphones and a little music...

The negative thoughts are just a big fucking mind movie and will continue to repeat themselves if you let them. Everything will work out. I promise.
I know things seem gloomy for you Heav. But its all about attitude. You'll be OK. You just have to keep trying. There are days when I just say f*** it too. Just keep trying and you shall suceed. It will happen. Its hard to see that when your in such a dark place. Don't give up Heav!
I just sent out some more applications. I hope that I find something quick.
