Sounds like you had a great day. Seafood and cold beer--Yum! Two of my favorites! I'm jealous--I'm eating at home--hamburger. But I do have beer!

Wish I could beam myself over to the seafood, cold beer, and ocean breeze. Enjoy yourself--you deserve it!

I am a little bummed out with the seafood. I had broiled scallops. They were okay, I can cook them much better. There were only 8 scallops on my plate and it cost me $20.00 for them!!! The cream of crab soup had a lot of shells in it (I can also cook that just as good as they do). Don't think that I will go back to that restaurant for a while. I thought that they were a bit overpriced.

I am now waiting to see which of the three bars gets loud. I then plan to head over to the loud bar (It must mean that something is going on).

Until then I will be sitting here and plotting my next move!

Sounds like a dream! I want to go!

It isn't a dream. It is "La Vie Dansante" (a Jimmy Buffett song. yes, litterly translated as the dancing life, it is a cool song that really strikes a chord for cruising around.

There is a line in the song that says "Feed it all with a willing heart; Every Stop is a place to start" That is so true about cruising a sailboat. Everytime I go into a port I will leave there the next day or the following day and it is the starting point.

The chorus is "That's why I wander and follow La Vie Dansante, On the night wind that takes me just where I want, That's all I want, La Vie Dansante."

Anyways, I am about ready to try out a bar and see what it is like. If I don't like the scene I will just drink my one beer and roll out!

So I went to the bar. There were litterly three people in the bar including the bar tender. Not good odds in there. The beer was expensive so I am back at the boat. I am not coming to Cobb Island for a while. This is a stinky find.

Float that boat of yours to Hilton Head over Labor Day Weekend and I will swim out and have a beer with you, Heave.

What a beautiful night. The wind is blowing about 10 knots through the anchorage. The stars are out and they are glimmering off of the water. The temperature is just right. It is one of the prettiest nights that I have seen in a while

The only bad thing was the bar scene sucked. I felt like a minority because I had never taken a viagra...that was including some of the women that I saw at the bar...yeesh!

OMG. Read your post and floated away for a moment. Awesome. On your way to pick up Left in Hilton Head, swing north a bit and stop in Atlantic City. Hell, don't even anchor I'll swim out and bring the beer.

wow you are amazingly brave. I could NEVER go into a bar alone not to mention sailing around alone!!! I'm in awe.
