Last year was the first in 20 yrs that he didn't get me not even a card, claiming I was not his Mom and had sent her texts first thing that morning. I did get a text from our daughter who is currently madder at me than before because I finally told her NO and because I paid for it and Im the Mom and I said. She was telling me she was taking my pickup because her car engine light was on when she came home at 10:30. I did get a generic text of happy mothers day, figure her Dad must have made her send it.
This has been a very hard day for me too. A hard few days. Thank goodness for my little boy that brought me in breakfast to bed yesterday with a card. If I didn't feel he needed me, I would just packup and be gone. Tired of feeling used and abused. Just want to feel appreciated.
You have a huge loss and massive adjustment
I was still crying all the time at your stage
sometimes still do 2 years on
But life is so much better now
but the loss is with me all the time
i too, have some good cries, from time to time. even though when we cry, it's an awfully painful feeling, it's the natural, and healthy way of us healing.
i know there's remembrances, reminders, and memories. i see things every day, that remind me of my ex. it's a hard thing to go through, missing someone very much, and them not in our lives and days anymore. it truly is a grieving process. You aren't alone, we're here for you, and encourage you to continue to let your feelings flow, whether it's tears, writing, talking, you will have good moments in days, that will give you more hope, for a healthy, and happy future you deserve.
Yes, 3 months is too soon to get over your loss. I think it took me about 17 months to come to "not caring" stage, when his name did not elicit an emotional response anymore. But we are all individuals when it comes to healing and coping. Others might only take 10-12 months or shorter.
I think absolutely no contact rule will make the healing faster. Mine dragged on because there were issues that tied us together (family etc) that necessitate communications.
I saw his photos the other day playing happy family with the 3rd world woman who pursued him - and succeeded in having a child by him. If I had seen that photo 12 months ago, it would have crushed me. But this time, I felt nothing. You too will reach that stage of healing where you won't care.
This forum has been my guiding light and savior and I thanked the members here who are very kind and supportive. A big ((HUG)) to everyone who are still in that "wounded/grief" stage.
One thing that gave me hope is "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER". Your pain won't last forever, his happiness won't last forever. It might take 2 years or more, but that object of your jealousy won't last in his life forever. They very rarely do!!
(HUGS) to everyone who are still hurting.
