I no longer have to watch violent movies or car racing! I can watch chick flicks and cry at the sad bits without feeling stupid. On the toilet paper issue - I can now buy the cheap stuff - could never understand why it needed to be expensive, its for wiping your a## goddammit!

I had to count the squares I used too!! He would yell at the kids that they didn't understand toliet paper etiquette!!

Ok I cannot get over the toilet paper deal.......

Mine had a ton of rules.
No one was allowed to wash their hands in the kitchen sink, even me if I was in there cooking. Which is nuts!
No one was allowed to poop in the main bathroom between the kitchen and and main family room. Yes he actually announced this periodically.
No one was allowed to bring blankets and pillows into the family room to curl up and watch TV in. He couldn't understand why anyone would do this and couldn't stand how it looked.
All doors were to be closed at all times and if one was left ajar he would come unglued.
No shoes, jackets, backpacks books, socks etc... were to left anywhere in the house. (OK we had 4 kids!)
I could go on and on but you guys get the jest of it.....
God I am so happy to be free of that. One of the first things we did when we moved is throw our shoes on the floor in the living room and their are piles of blankets on the sofas.

Me too mary...and the more crap (pun intended too!) I hear...the more it boggles my mind!!! OMG Lou!!! (((HUG))) I just want to frikkin' hug everyone in this thread!!! My stbx isn't HALF as controlling as that...but he definitely is narcissistic! He's looking kinda good (Kills me to say that btw!) compared to these men! (& other than his complete moron-ness!)

Don't throw out a pot scrubber if it is looking dingie without calling him on his way home from work to stop at the store to buy another one. I got hit for that.

Don't crumble up a dinner napkin and throw it in the trash. You need to fold it and then throw it out. It takes up too much room in the trash can.

If I need to change the thermastat in the middle of the night, I need to make sure I wake him up to let him know. He doesn't want to get too hot or too cold.

Louie- I would have been happy if mine had washed his hands in the kitchen sink! He PEED in it instead! EEEEEE!!!!!

Okay. I have been away for a while today, but I could not wait to get back to the computer this evening. One of the other things that drove me crazy was that he was so picky about the dust on top of the baseboards on the walls. He was constantly walking around and rubbing his finger across the top in different areas of the house. He also yelled if he saw any white on the vacuum cleaner because it meant that it scrubbed the underside of one of our cabinets. This from a man who did not clean his tub ring for like three years in his old apartment. It was soooo disgusting.

mammy thank you so much for the chuckle - he would never survive in my household - we go thru toilet paper like no ones business - it would have sent him over the edge

mammy....he never did take the initiative to clean it did he??? I mean, if he was SO bothered by it....that must've been YOUR job as well! Wholly Fuck... I am stunned.

Well, I'd be free of the toilet paper issues if my damn cat didn't tear it up when it was on the wall or knock it into the toilet when I put it on the lid to stop her from playing with it on the wall!!!!

Snoring, getting away from that was wonderful.
