I am just sitting here on my laptop, minding my own business, and my Dad goes........."What are you doing?" I respond "I am checking my email." He says "Playing a game?" I said "no, checking my email."

This kind of thing happens all of the time. He is so friggin nosey it isn't funny and it irks me to no end. I would like to have some sort of a private life even though I am forced to stay at my parents house for a while!

This is so annoying. Last time I checked I was well over 18. I don't need anyone checking up on me and stressing me anymore. He is always asking where I have applied, what am I going to do if I don't get this job, and all kinds of other crap.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did these things have to happen to me and I was forced to do this? Dealing with aging parents where one is beginning to annoy the crap out of you is just a pain.

I left home when I was 17.
I happy to get out on my own, they were happy that the last kid was gone.

I would not want to live with them again. I hope I never have to, nice as they are.

lol, I have the same problem but they aren't my parents they are my exfiances. They are living with me for four more months and "dad" asks me where I am going every time I leave the apartment.

yeah..I can relate...I've been having to use my parent's "taxi" service....this morning, it's icey and snowey..my dad INSISTS on explaining to me how to drive in it....uhhhhh...haven't ever driven in snow dad! thanks! I NEVER would have known...sigh....

That...and then having your father peek over your shoulder to see what is on your laptop screen. I feel like getting a flash screen that says "NONE OF YOUR FRIGGIN' BUSINESS!"

Hang in there. I had to move back in with the parents at 39 after my divorce to get back on my feet financially. It was tough. They treated me like I was a teenager. It did motivate me to get on my own. It is nice not having to answer to anyone but myself. I finally feel free! My parents always meant well. Just too overprotective. They helped me through some very difficult times. Couldnt of survived my nasty financially draining divorce without them.

My parents lived with me for 5 years... the last straw was when my father waited up for me to come home from a date and yelled at my date for bringing me home late, because I had to go to work the next day... I was 40, it was MY house... I had raised two sons to adulthood... ummmm Pop, I think I know how to live my life by now! I asked them the next weekend to move! Hardest thing I had to do, but I had to do it!

My mom will be here in a few weeks, she puts me on DS restriction and limits my phone time..heck I'll be 47 then.

My dad goes around the house belching really loud. I tell him that is disgusting and if he needs to do it do it quietly. Nope....BBBEEEEEEELLLLLLCCCCCHHHH!!!! Come on.

Why am I getting annoyed so easily by these things? Normally I wouldn't pay any attention to them but the last few weeks I am just annoyed by things like this.

If I go to do anything he has to add his two cents in and give me advice. People....I have done these things before and I am in my 30's for God's sake.

If I get to leave the state with my kids I think that I will live with my parents, OMg we'll kill eachother but my laundry will be done and all my stuff will get ironed.

I think that noses grow along with the belly when you're pregnant. LOL

I sure hope that I'm not that way. But I probably will be. Sigh.

Oh and my mom watches my kids so she feels free to make comments. But honestly, after dealing with all of the ex's comments, I've learned to let it all roll off my back.

Try eating dinner with them when your Dad sounds like he is chowing down at a feed trough and the burps remind me of pig oinks. Seriously people, he was not like this when I was younger and it is like he does this to get attention.

Then he gets the T.V. remote. Just when you start getting interested in a program he flips the bloody channel. He channel surfs all of the time. I feel like stealing the batteries out of the remote!

My mom is exactly the same, NOSEY! Its enough to make you insane. Its hard enough dealing with a divorce. She's been told by enough people to butt out! Its awful when you have someone nagging you constantly about everything. I just try hard to ignore it. Hang in there Heave, just remind yourself its only temporary.
