While this season is hard, there is so much to be thankful for. I have wonderful family and wonderful friends. My girls are healthy and are adjusting well. There is beauty, joy, and love all around me.

I agree. I went to a family party tonight. It was fun. I have my daughter from tonight through the weekend and she had a great time. She is excited and bubbling over about Christmas. I still have to "play Santa" tonight but it will be fun and she'll have a great day tomorrow.
I'm lucky to have her, lucky to have my (small) family, and lucky to have a few people in this world who care about me. I also have the opportunity to try to improve my life in any way I choose. Being 41 and divorced/single is not the end of the world.
I have a lot to be thankful for. Most of us do. Best wishes to everyone out there! The darkest times only mean that things are bound to get better. And they will, if you hang in there.
