Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I know most of you come here to find strength and air your grievances in hope someway or somehow gets some support. I’m writing here to make sure you see the other side of what you’re going through right now.
I’ve been divorced for 3 years. The fight that ended the marriage was so petty that I can’t even talk to my friends about it. Regardless, my ex wife decided to end the marriage, and it felt like my world started crumbling down in front of me and I can’t do anything about it. My grieving process was so hard that I still have anxiety attacks with physical manifestations. But one thing I can tell you though, I’m happier than I’ve ever been and I know myself more than before the divorce.
I’m happier now because I let go and moved on. I’ve accepted that my marriage doesn’t give me guarantee. It’s okay to be divorced than stay in dead marriage. Relationship needs to people to work; if one is not willing to work, you’ll be tired trying to make things work.
Few things I would recommend on doing to those who are still in the process of separation, going through divorce or recently divorce. Here are things that help me -
- No contact
- Be patient and kind to yourself
- Give yourself a pass, esp to breakdown and cry
- Put a list of your priorities (if should not include your ex or soon to be ex)
- Keep you focus on YOUR priorities
- Breathe/pause
- Focus on the moment/now
- Focus on what you can do for yourself and kids
- Find a support system(trusted friends, supportive and loving family, trustworthy therapist)
- Talk, write, tiktok, text - do whatever you need to de-stress
- Learn or make sure you have your financial responsibilities are sorted out
- Stay safe, healthy and focus on what you can do on your NEW normal
- Give yourself a space to process things
I know what you’re going through is not ideal, but you have the option to make it ideal for you.

there has been considerable popular press on the social impact of misogyny (hatred of women). misandry (hatred of men) seems socially blessed. poor girl. how right you are to hate the evils of men. never mind that harboring hatred burns holes in your soul. those evil creatures are worthy of all the hate we can muster.i have 5 brothers, 5 sisters and 3 sons and 2 daughters. i hold that misandry is...

write down daily in black and white.
do one nice thing for yourself daily, from eat a piece of fruit to hug yourself in a blanket and watch the sunset.
She has an area in our garage that She stays in nearly 18 hours a day now. She seldom sleeps, and sometimes won’t eat for a day. I knew this was bad, an obsession. She had her I-phone and a laptop on all the time, nearly 24/7. Then the questions and accusations started. “Where’s the other phone?” “Why are you doing this to me?” “Why are you Lying to me?” “Who is so and so?”. She is totally convinced that I’m using social media to cheat on her. This has gone on for 2 weeks now causing me to leave the house with her in hysterics. She cries for days, and allows the obsession of the computer to poison our hopes. Last night resulted in my I-phone implanting itself in the bedroom door after she tried to kick it in. I swear on my dear Mother’s grave that I don’t know what websites she’s talking about. Her Father (that lives with us) keeps telling her to show us what she’s talking about, show us any kind of proof that he’s
cheating on you. When she tries to pull it all back up, there’s nothing there. Her best friend has told her, her Mom has told her, and She still insists on both staying in the garage and that I’m cheating on her, or somebody is trying to break us up. It’s at the point now where I’m afraid to come home from work at night for fear of being assaulted with questions and accusations about something I know NOTHING about!
Sometimes She seems okay, but then the next thing you know, She’s busting into the bedroom at 3:45 am wanting to know “Who the F*** IS THIS!!! On her phone.
I can’t do this anymore, and hoping She will get better by next week.
I know it’s easy to say be patient and try to find a way to help her trust you. I think if she’s doesn’t trust you, you need counseling to give you guys guidance and find a way to reset.
Talk to her and tell her how you feel. You can’t give her guarantees, but you can help her feel secure. Good luck.
