Yes I am devastated too but, but you only throw out trash once.
I think about love and trust all the time. I don't think I could handle being betrayed like that again, and I have a feeling any date [if ever that happens] would sence the bad vibes from me.
My husband really shagged up our marriage and also my future unless I get out of this rut !!!!! also hope your insides come back to life......
It's hard. I don't know how to get rid of the anxiety in my head. Most days I just exist and try to accept that this is my life..If you figure this out. let me know how you did it. It just sucks..doesn't it?
I am finding it extremely difficult to break this vicious cycle. I am also really scared of someone breaking my trust too, and I've been very untrusting of everyone new I meet. I don't know how to prevent this either.
Do you have anyone that you do trust? A family member or old friend? I have to say that despite what I have gone through and am going through with my marriage, I do have one old friend who I trust completely. She gives me hope for the future. I think to myself that I don't know if I could trust my "husband" again or any other man in the future, but if I trust her, why couldn't I eventually trust someone else?
All I can say is that it will take a lot of time. Hopefully, when people earn your trust, you'll be able to give it to them. Trust is earned, not given away. I think at points like this in our lives we need to focus on healing, and let trust come later when its time.
Had a wife who cheated on me, took years to trust again, so we CAN regain our trust in people.
Found a woman I did trust and adore only for her to leave me because she wasn't and maybe never will be ready for a lifetime commitment.
I refuse to give up however. Once I have my head on straight I'm dipping my toes back in the water, or getting another dog :)
Trust will come in time when you know its right. For now, work though the day to day, that is what I am trying to do.
What are the other options?
I don't want to be that old single man living alone in an apartment downtown. Who dies and nobody notices
