I rapid cycle and also have some other diagnoses. The Pdoc and I are still working with my meds. It's been a few of the most stressfull years I've ever experienced in my entire life. I can't emphasize that enough. My social anxiety has made me isolate myself. I even get some anxiety chatting, as crazy as it sounds. I do have a great sister and mother who try to understand bipolar disorder. I have one good friend, and she's a smart gal that grew up with a bipolar mother. I am soooo grateful to have all of them in my life. Rapid cycling IS one BIG mixed episode for me, so I am reaching out to you guys for support, and friendship. I know that everyone here has some thing...or more, and I am a good listener. AM reaching out to you guys here.....I'm tired, scared, lonely and need friends.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

We're all here for you and I'll be your friend if you want me to. =) I'm a good listener!
Things do get better as the disorder is more controlled
As tommy said well friends R us!
Big hug of comfort
Oh and I go through periods of time when I do not mind chatting and then times where I just don't want to - nothing to do with the actual people, just that I don't want to so I sign out. Same with hugs, dunno why I do that - I guess I feel more sociable sometimes. I am this way in real life as well. I wish I wasn't & would just stay sociable instead of just becoming avoidant out of the blue - & there is no rhyme or reason to why or when I do it... A lot of people/friends around me IRL do take offense to this.. :-/
Many thanks tommy, Sun....
I try to avoid as much stimulation as possible.....messes with me bad!
About all I can say is, hang in there. When you're on that roller-coaster ride, it's difficult sometimes to believe that things will get better. Fortunately, most people find great improvement with some combination of meds. *Unfortunately*, they often have to go through a whole lot of meds that don't work, before they find the right combination.
Best of luck. Reaching out is a step in the right direction.
